the tldr.

Born out of the need for a better connection, and a lot of long hot days in Comic Con lines, Hotline Tips is an art-driven nail brand inspiring community before conformity. And how do we do it?Superpowers, like extra attention to materials and additional protective coats to develop press-on nails and designs that are as strong as you are.

our lore.

Do you remember the first time you fell in love with a song, or a show? Maybe a movie? Was it life changing? For our founder Paige Hogan it was.

Whether it was the moment she heard Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time’ during a Nickelodeon commercial break or the late-night anime reruns she impatiently waited for, Paige knew her connection to pop-culture was destined for something greater than just being a fan; art would be her life, and her life would be art.

From that moment on, dreams of a geek brand would ebb and flow as life pushed and pulled in different directions, but in 2017 in the ballroom lobby of the San Diego Marriott Marquis, Paige turned to her husband (and co-founder) Jeff and realized geek beauty was the destination all of life’s paths had been pointing to. That year they sat in Comic Con panel after panel: Careers in Geek Fashion, Creating and Growing Community, the Her Universe Workshop, Building a Geek Brand… It was obvious.

As a graphic designer, Paige understood the key to creating an iconic brand is to nurture and develop an honest idea that rings true to its values and vision, and a brand that provides a better connection between fans and beauty couldn’t be rushed.

Thus, from hand-painting convention and vacation nails to reflect her favorite fandoms, Paige slowly began setting the stage for what would ultimately become Hotline Tips.

Together, Paige and Jeff have worked diligently to craft a brand dedicated to its art-driven foundations; focusing on high-quality materials for Hotline Tips press-on nails like using 100% Acrylic that adheres substantially better to adhesive tabs than other plastics, and producing nails with additional protective coats to improve chip and resistance.

For us, press-on nails aren’t a drugstore impulse buy. They’re art. That’s why we love them.
